There are seven grammar schools within the Gloucestershire area:
Pate's Grammar School
Sir Thomas Rich's
The Crypt School
Marling School
High School for Girls
Ribston Hall
Stroud High School
I recommend that you visit most of these grammar schools with your child. Spend time talking to them about what each school offers and their personal preferences. Then firm up a list of three schools in order of preference, you may wish to consider which out the seven is more local to you. To be eligible for a place, your son or daughter must achieve the qualifying standard in the 11 Plus Exam; this qualifying mark can vary from year to year depending on the exam’s level of difficulty.
