My Background

My name is Amy Evans. I am a qualified teacher with a BEd (Bachelor of Education) Hons degree, and 10 years teaching experience.

I have taught a variety of year groups and have helped children of different abilities make substantial progress. I love preparing children for important assessments and examinations, such as SATs tests. I have been Ofsted Inspected many times and I have always had good feedback with regards to my planning, the lesson content and the children’s learning.

I consider myself a creative teacher and I try to offer mainly practical, fun, engaging activities which allow the pupils to learn new concepts. I think that it is important that the children can apply their learning to real life situations.

I have two beautiful girls, one whom is of school age. She is exceeding expectations in all areas of the curriculum- I am very proud of her! I taught my daughter to read and she could read fluently well before she went to school.

I believe in selective schools and I think that a grammar school education offers the very best foundation with which to gain the necessary GCSE's and 'A' level results. I will strive to ensure that your child passes the 11 Plus exam and gains entry to a local grammar school of their choosing.

I am based in Gloucester and am CRB checked.
